This used to be my go to place for business lunches and after work drinks. Under new ownership, the food is inedible. I 've tried a number of things but all are terrible. Could anyone ruin a burger? YES. Make it thin and over priced and put it on a Wonder Bread bun and then present it on a tin tray. Their plating is overly pretentious. It is all about looks now and nothing about substance. Service is terrible when they do remember to bring you what you ordered. The music is so loud you can 't have a conversation. The bartenders ignore you. Not surprisingly, the after work bar scene is completely gone as is the lunch crowd. It is a one and done place with tumbleweed blowing through the empty space.
Horror show at its best! everything that could go wrong, went wrong. main entrees came before drinks!!!! are you kidding me? half the menu did not have produce available, on friday night at 630pm reservation you dont have steaks??? or lobster salad?? 1 item for stale deserts?? mixed up orders, lack of attention and uncooked salmon garanteed. they even managed to add insult to injury by charging 20% gratuity fee. if it wasnt for special occasion and respect for people at the table, whole staff and owner would have been sent marching to go f themselves. apparently you can ignore all previous reviews because the place is under new management, was sold few months ago. STAY AWAY!!
Ordered Turkey and Brie sandwich for lunch. Roll was cold (not fresh), and the serving of Brie on both halves of the sandwich was the size of a postage stamp (no exaggeration). When I asked the server about it, she was clearly unhappy and offered to show me the menu so I could see the description. I declined politely, telling her that I knew what was supposed to be on the sandwich (which is why I ordered it in the first place). She walked off without saying anything and got the manager, who kindly offered to add more Brie. After the sandwich was returned to me, the server didn't come back to the table until it was time to ask if we wanted dessert. She left us there another 30 minutes waiting for the bill. My colleagues said the food was average at best. The crab cake was lukewarm, and the salmon was dry. Good feedback about the calamari salad. $90 for lunch for 4, no beverages other than water. Based on the lousy service alone (manager was the exception), we won't be returning with or without any clients.
Always a nice time when I visit Woolworth Kitchen Tower. I absolutely love their Caesar Salad! Nice ambiance and always enjoy dining alone or with friends whenever I visit.
