Choo Choo Bbq Grill - Chickamauga

Went with my whole family and a first time experience. My sister lives in Chickamauga and has frequented Choos. I must say that it lived up to the hype. We went about 45 minutes prior to closing, I could tell it had been quite a day for the staff, but they were still fantastic. The manager, I mean I assume he was the manager, came over and checked on this a few times and gave us some recommendations to which he was very right. We had the catfish basket, the shrimp basket, pulled pork sandwich, and salad bar with a slew of sides. All of it was amazing but I would say the catfish was the best. The seasoning is top-notch. Also, I loved the hush puppies and the fried okra was fantastic. I definitely recommend. Real hometown,, quaint, family style place.

Barbeque restaurant 12960 hwy 27 n. Chickamauga ga 30707. Located near chickamauga national battlefield. First time in the place so I will tell you what I tried and give my opinion of what I liked. Ordered the smoked mild wings and they were good and had a distinctive smoky flavor. The fried pickle chips were also spot on. For the main course I ordered the chicken plate and it came with three sides. . My lady ordered a pork plate with pinto beans and fried squash. Her meal also came with three sides. I found that they can flavor their meat good, but their Mac and cheese and pinto beans and baked beans are lacking. Over -all the meal was good and service was good also. Their barbeque sauce is a sweet tasting ketchup style sauce. No mustard base style is offered. I was not able to try the brisket bc it was sold out but the pork plate was better than the chicken one.

Was a little skeptical about ordering catfish at a BBQ place but was served the best catfish I’ve ever eaten. All the food was freshly prepared and delicious. Restaurant was very clean and the staff friendly and attentive. Five stars all around.

Wonderful Chopped chicken with baked beans, cole slaw, potatoe logs and toast. Very good.
