El Pollo Rico - Carbondale

My favorites are the Chile Relleno and the chicken enchilada plate. My kids are always asking for the tamales. I've made it a few times on Sunday for the Pork Carnitas special awesome!

As far as Mexican restaurants go the food here is just fine. The steak fajitas were flavored well and the cheese dip (not queso! was very good. The service was not so good. We had to squeeze by a man sitting at a large group table they shoved right by the front door. And we felt like an afterthought to our waitress even though it wasn't very busy at all.

El pollo rico is our favorite. We come here a few times a month. My wife loves the chicken enchiladas. I stick with the chile relleno. Jose and Emma are the best.

This restaurant has the best chicken! The decor is really fun, fast efficient service, friendly, and yummy chicken. The flour tortillas are really good. The salsas are also tasty. More similar to southern California Mexican chicken spots.

I hadn't been frequenting this restaurant for the past few years because we usually end up eating somewhere on Main Street.I've been here a few times over the last 2 months and it's definitely our new favorite. We've done the chicken takeout and enchiladas, tacos, etc... it's all delicious, very authentic. I wish this restaurant had outdoor dining, but it's worth eating inside. If you're looking for the real thing, this is it.
