Kyoto Palace Japanese Steakhouse

We discovered this restaurant on the second floor of the cemetery, and it turned out to be a great find. From the outside, it appears small and cozy, but I was pleasantly surprised to find a spacious interior that was quite busy, especially for a Tuesday night. We enjoyed a family birthday dinner in the bar area, and it was our first visit. The bartender was fantastic, exceeding our expectations and making our experience truly enjoyable. We tried the sushi, and the special rolls were quite tasty. Their draft beer was reasonably priced at $7, with some excellent options on tap, including Mango Cart. It's definitely a family-friendly spot, and we will be returning!

The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is due to a communication issue regarding food allergies. The food was perfect for 5 out of the 6 of us, but my wife has a severe allergy to gluten and dairy. Unfortunately, the server did not relay this important information to the chef, who ended up using soy sauce (which contains gluten) on all the dishes. As a result, my wife was unable to eat her meal. It’s always a bit daunting to request modifications or ask for a fresh preparation when dining out, and while we didn't want to make a fuss, I certainly wish we had. Overall, the experience was enjoyable, but this oversight was disappointing.

I visited this restaurant for lunch and found the service to be excellent, but unfortunately, the food was served cold. Considering the prices, I expected a higher quality. The steak was also a bit too salty for my taste. I think we should give this place another try in the future.

Here's my granddaughter question. It's been years since I went to this kind of restaurant. While it is fun to watch the cook, make cooking, it is not beneficial to eat the food on your plate simultaneously and temperature as rice, meat and vegetables are boiled on top of each other. Most articles were delicious, but the New York steak was a bit chewn not very tasty. Dinner includes soup, salad and ice cream for dessert.

Absolutely incredible food and a little bit of entertainment to go with it. Super family friendly restaurant and THE BEST Fried Rice you'll ever had. A little pricey, but it's definitely worth it.
