Rita's Italian Ice - Santa Clara

Rita's is the perfect spot to satisfy my cravings for Italian ice. However, I am disappointed that the only flavor I truly enjoy is the mango ice. I have tried a few other flavors, but they all taste artificial and overly sweet. The mango ice is the least sweet of the options available. My go-to order is a small gelati with mango ice and vanilla custard, which is just the right amount for me. I appreciate that there is custard both below and on top of the ice, as it helps to balance out the sweetness. Additionally, they offer pup cups for dogs, which my furry friend enjoyed. The staff is friendly and efficient, allowing you to sample flavors and quickly place your order. There is some indoor seating and a few chairs outside as well. I will definitely be returning whenever I'm in need of a fix for Italian ice.

I recently visited Rita's in Pittsburgh and have been craving their frozen custard since July. Initially, I thought it was a chain on the East Coast, but was pleasantly surprised to discover there are numerous locations in the Bay Area. I decided to visit the Santa Clara location since it was close to home. Unlike the Rita's I visited on the East Coast, this one had a storefront where you could sit and enjoy your dessert. All of the custard flavors were displayed like an ice cream shop, making it easy to choose. I went around lunchtime and the store was not too busy. The server at the counter was friendly and nice. I love the vanilla frozen custard, so I ordered it again. It was just as creamy and delicious as I remembered, not overly sweet. Their quality is consistent across stores. Now that I know there's a Rita's nearby, I will definitely be back to try more flavors.

Rita's had great tasting desserts. They're Gelati and custard is like soft serve with shaved ice but way more decadent! This place has great tasting deserts. This location is good. The staff is friendly and attentive. The place was actually pretty clean. And they had plenty of the flavors we saw online. The location also has plenty of parking. It's on a corner lot so you can't miss it. The flavors are amazing!!! This is a great place to get a sweet treat if you need one.

Friendly staff, Fun large variety of Italian ice and Custard flavors!The original Vanilla Custard soft serve is the actual best you will ever have anywhere, hands down!! Always worth the trip!!!

Got the gelati. It's been awhile since I've had Rita's and it's still as good as I remembered. The guy who was working was really nice. There are a couple seats outside or a table on the side you can sit at.
