Sonny's Bbq - Buford

I'm an OTR driver and every time I'm in town I try to get to one I love BBQ and they have really good flavor

Worked at the Talahassee store 30 years ago. Still as good as I remember.

This Sonny’s location is head and shoulders above the location in Marietta. Starting with the server, Jacob, the whole experience of eating here was wonderful. When Sonny’s barbecue is at its best it is some of the best anywhere. I had the pulled and sliced pork, fries (hot out of the fryer) and coleslaw with garlic toast.Both types of pork were full of flavor and not fatty. Sonny’s sliced pork is really good when they render all of the fat off of it leaving flavorful pinkish-red meat.The other location tends to not smoke it as it should be and it is always very fatty with less flavor, hardly eatable. So this Sonny’s gets it right, like it did originally. I can appreciate a well run establishment and the manager here is obviously quite good at what he does. Also, if you are really hungry you can turn meals into all-you-can-eat for an additional charge. Came a second time. Still delicious!

Not the best BBQ joint in the south, but it's also not the worst. They have a variety of sauces and meat to choose from. Overall it's a decent place to eat. Quiet and clean.

Let me start by saying at this Buford Georgia location Ms Dot Is the epitome of a server Sonny's should be thrilled and happy to have her and should be giving her top pay scale for their corporation. She was on point with everything from drinks to food to checking to make sure we were okay. Never had to ask her a question about anything or to get anything for us. She was the best we've ever seen at Sonny's BBQ. Not only was the service the best ever but the food, the ribs sides everything was excellent and on point at this location I highly recommend coming here and sitting in Ms Dot Section . If you do sit in her section Make sure you tip her well. She deserves it. Thank you so much for a great Father's Day experience. I love you and I appreciate you. God bless you Ms Dot and Sonny's BBQ.
