She gave us good suggestion for food and good wine of the area. The prices are very reasonable. Thank yuo Renata, we will come back and will suggest your restaurant to all our friends
We were advised in the hotel to book for one of the nights the restaurant is open. We truly enjoyed our meal and will go back if we are ever in the vicinity again.
I know Peter since about 40 years. He is always professional, competent, and polite. A pleasure to meet His wine bar has style There is a terrace in the courtyard for warm days Wine choice good to very good On several days a week his charming wife cooks remarkable meals; reservation necessary I recommend a visit, and hope you enjoy it as much as I do
Oh my goodness, what a magical experience this was! Peter and his wife have created a refined, completely unstuffy, and very special dining and wine-tasting experience in central Brixen. You would be wise simply to order the fixed-price menu, put yourself in Peter's expert hands regarding the accompanying wines, and enjoy the best meal in town.
I sense the owner is trying to reduce tourist traffic. I had been hiking a great deal and looked forward to a nice dinner in town with a place that appreciates wines I 'm from very good wine country too . The place only opens for dinner twice a week, and clearly we are reading on TA that it seems good, so it 's busy and I arrived early. The male owner greeted and accepted all the locals for dinner but seemed to tell the tourists no room. He wouldn 't engage with me, but the very nice staff told me I could still eat dinner just the same in the bar area. This place seemed less pretentious than other local restaurants and wine bars, and reviews seemed good, so I stayed. The wines were good but not great. The tuna was relatively very expensive for Europe, so I was surprised to find it cooked well but the whole meal incredibly salty are they trying to trick diners into drinking more? and accompanied by only a suggestion of thinly sliced vegetables 'dignified French fries ' . I then ordered a cheese plate for dessert to try some red wines. Waited an hour with no luck. Were they still milking the cow, or trying to further illustrate that they didn 't care about single foreign me out in the bar? Canceled the cheese. Why offer seating there in you don 't intend to serve it? Not worth it unless you are buying a bottle midday to take away. Thanks anyway to the very nice staff woman who at least tried to explain the names of the local wines, though nothing about their location or house. For the same prices, I had a really gorgeous dinner at Die Traubenwirt w better wine, though.
