Upon entering, we noticed that the establishment was clean and had a lovely aroma. The parking lot was tidy as well. It appeared to be well-managed. I would highly recommend this place for a nice sit-down meal with attentive service from genuinely caring staff. Thank you, Azteca, for a wonderful evening.
The service was excellent, and the quality of the food was outstanding. The only reason I’m giving this place 4 stars instead of 5 is that the salsa was a bit bland and mild. However, I can understand why that might be the case, given the predominantly white demographic in the area.
I absolutely love this restaurant! I've been bringing my family here for over 30 years. It's the closest thing to authentic Mexican food that I've found!
I can't comment much on the rest of the menu, but I've really come to enjoy the mole enchiladas here. However, in this era of takeout and delivery due to COVID, I've never felt more disappointed by a meal. While I appreciate the quality of the container, this is what I found when I opened the serving tray. My initial reaction was disbelief—did I really pay good money for this? I also wondered where the refried beans were, only to discover they were hidden under the enchiladas. I know it’s not fair to judge good food solely on its presentation, but this kind of presentation is exactly what drives customers away.
Overall, it was a decent experience. The decor is lovely, and the staff is very friendly, even if the service was a bit slow. Unfortunately, the food presentation leaves much to be desired. While the flavors are delightful, the dishes appeared to be hurriedly placed on the plate without much thought. I tried the Tres Amigos, which includes a chile relleno, two types of stews, and refried beans. Ideally, these items should have been served in separate bowls on a larger platter, rather than mixing together and losing their shape. Despite the unappealing look, the taste was excellent. I would also suggest offering black beans for those who prefer them over refried beans.
