Friendly staff, good lunch menu selection, fast, good, clean and cheap prices of lunch menu, what you want more over midday. you can recommend again.

We stepped in here during carnival for lunch. We were lucky to get a table as the restaurant was booked out by carnival participants. Service was friendly and swift. Very atmospheric with carnival memorabilia. Sadly the typical carnival food of flour soup, cheese pie and a salad was very average. Price was sfr 67 for two with two glasses of wine so not cheep either.

After a cozy meeting with old friends we had appetit after a nice piece of meat with supplements in traditional atmosphere. in the riehentorhalle we found a beautiful table with textile napkins. quickly the waiter was to place and after a short time the ordered beverages stood on the table, two times beer and once mineral water were in the open. afterwards we ordered the food and red wine, a beautiful gamay in the semi-liter bottle (excellent!) we ordered cordon bleu maison and kalbsbratwurst with rösti. wonderful. there were various variations offered with cordon bleu, we chose the simplest, maison, i.e. with a mirror on the piece of pork. there were fresh pommes. everything wonderful and at a price you have to look far and wide. very attentive service. it is an old restaurant in which many fasnacht companies start and run. pretty colored glass panes with traditional depictions. the only minus point was that only one urinal worked and the water in the toilet was available only cold; Here would be less rustic a profit...Immer still a secret tip and all a way worth it.

I've been with the family for dinner. the service is always good, the personal can also speak a bit Italian, they are very sympathetic and the pizza are ok. the atmosphere is very family and never stressful.
