Trattoria Antichi Sapori - Basel

Very nice quaint italian place. I had the vegitarian suprise menu. It was deliciois. More then I could have hope for.the weiter was very friendly. I ohne the small central location, though, on a warm summer evening you want to sit near a window. Swiss prices. I left being more than full after the 3 course dinner.

Best Italian restaurant in Basel and surroundings. It is a small and cosy restaurant close to the Marktplatz in Basel. If you do not know, you won’t see it. Friendly staff, seasonal changing menu, fresh food and great wines plus a great atmosphere. We visit this restaurant regularly and we have never been disappointed.

We went to Basel for lunch. We were passing this trattoria and DH offered to have an Italian lunch. The Wednesday menu consisted of 3 different dishes we could choose plus appetiser. DH chose a calf and potatoes dish and I did some pasta with tomato sauce and Italian sausage and our meal was teamed with Chianti, of course. We also took home made Tiramisu, it was delicious. The trattoria is small but very cosy. The staff is friendly and attentive. Actually the meal was simple but very tasty. Worth visiting again.

We stayed 3 days in Basel and it is quite simply the best address discovered during our stay.
