Jay's Indian Restaurant - Basel

Looking for an Indian restaurant we fell on this little restaurant. very good musical atmosphere (2 musicians played jazz in the room,) super warm welcome, good cuisine. Anyway, a great evening! we will return with pleasure :-)

I've now been here 11 times in the past 9 months and it is a rare and wonderful experience. It is seldom to find a place that obsesses about customer service on this level. If one of the waiters isn't living up to Jay's standards you will see him quietly explain to them how he wants things done. And hey, even the food and wine is pretty great :-)

Already in milchhüsli (location is super) and overall my 3rd visit, but this time very disappointed. appetizer was very tasty, but as no choice, I would be told instead of garnel (I don't think) something else. but got exactly the same appetizer, but then without garnishing and without additional. therefore only 2/3 starter for the same price. the main food was completely cold with us and the price was unfortunately absolutely not worth it. personal very nice. hopefully next year better!

Not the typical Indian restaurant in my opinion, this is way better. Classy and elegant. I like all about this place. Food is amazing, Jay is an amazing person and a great host too. The place itself is super. Would recommend to go here at least once if you are in Basel.
