WAY better donuts than Lakeside Farms which is across town. They have so many cute nicknacks and gifts that you’ll unexpectedly find you want something here. Candles, kitchen decor, mugs, jewelry, scarves, pillows and blankets, seasonal decor, things for your garden, kids section and so much more in this cute tiny place!! They have such delicious baked goods like breads, pies and muffins. I love how they have local food and honey as well. They also surprisingly have a great card section. Their cards are so unique and perfect! And they recently opened up a lunch spot as well here. The people are always so helpful and compassionate as it’s been in Burnt Hills for so long. Although they do have a lot of stuff it is very organized. Some things are expensive while other things are great low prices. It’s worth the stop here if you’re looking for a gift or something seasonal, you won’t be disappointed! They also always have things on sale! Love it!
A cute little country store the store could use some updating and organization. I stopped in for donuts which where delicious. Although the baker was a bit crabby. Maybe just having a bad day.
Such an interesting place to shop, you can find something for everyone. Great place for Christmas and birthday gift shopping. It's like the tardis looks small from the outside, but much bigger on the inside. I could get lost in there for hours. Items are decently priced, and the baked goods are a bonus (apple cider donuts are tasty). Haven't tried the restaurant next door, but it was pretty busy when we stopped by at lunch time.
I've been coming here since I was a kid. My Mother really enjoyed having breakfast here on a drive to Saratoga.
Been looking for a good bakery nearby on my trip home, and I've found a few, but I never tried Fo'Castle until today. Stepping inside it was like they carved off the country store half of a Cracker Barrel, it smells like Grandma's house inside, there's a bunch of random knick knacks for sale, but what they do better is also have a section for some baked goods. I ended up grabbing a bag of Cider Doughnuts, a carton of Lemon Bars, and a package of Raspberry Almond Cookies. The best being the Almond cookies, they were so delicious. I love how they smell like cherries, and taste perfectly sweet to counter the tart raspberry center. The Lemon Bars were very unique, with a cake like crust but having the flavor of graham cracker and the lemon topping was gel like and very thin compared to the bottom half. Sadly the doughnuts were not very moist and rather bland, but for a sugar doughnut they did the job, but not a cider doughnut. Oh, and before I forget, the girls working the shop were super cute and friendly.
