The Yacht Chinese - Auckland

As per review of others. Went along and tried this yum cha. Not bad, bit more of selection would be nice but food comes out hot and tasty. Different from other yum Chas where trolleys of food come out. This one you pick from a list and food comes out from what you ordered. Good concept to save on wastage. Will Definitely come back for another sitting.

Comment June 2017. Since taking over local favorite Wing WA. The yacht still provides great food and service albeit slightly different. My Only 2 gripes were the decor and vegetarian food selection. Decor: The floors are extremely outdated and worse for wear and there is no air-conditioning, not so great when in summer. Could do with a simple revamp!!! For those that dine or are vegetarians there is a minimal selection of Vegetarian Chinese food which may limit the amount of people that come. Overall pretty good. Update 23.11.18: Since my comment above the yacht has replaced their carpet, hired a waitress who understands english and has a good selection of vegan/ vegetarian dishes just ask the owner about the options. Keep up the fab work . The sweet and sour mushrooms and salt and pepper tofu is the bomb!!! Update: December 25 2018. Finalllyyyyy the yaght have updated their menu. They have tonnes of vege/vegan options .and the menu is easier to read. If you need food suggestions ask the owner.

Clean spacious ambience. Very polite and helpful staff. Yum cha was lush, excellent quality and affordable. The dishes came in tidy intervals that were fresh and warm. Will definitely return and recommend to friends. Also will try the many interesting dinner menus

It is my favorite place for Yam-Cha, freshly delicious. Some other yum cha place their food comes from the package, from the wholesale factory, but this place they make their food in their kitchen. Recommend her egg tart, steamed pigs short ribs, shrimp dumplings.

Still my favorite Yum Cha pot and I was too many. The best price and quality is good, they have from days where the steamed pork saving ribs are a little hard, but I don't care that it is often enough. The only real problem for me is that it's soup dumplings... always stuck together! It doesn't matter to me because they taste soooo well!
