Przekaż informację zwrotnąDuring our stay at the Fairmont at Lake Louise, we dined at the Fairview restaurant on our first night. Wanting to experience outdoor seating, we decided to try the Lake View Lounge. Upon making reservations, the host inquired about any allergies within our party. I mentioned that I have Celiac disease and am extremely sensitive to cross contamination. The server was knowledgeable about gluten-free options, although not all were listed on the menu and they did not have a separate fryer. I opted for the gluten-free tomato soup, but it initially came with a gluten cracker. After bringing this to the server's attention, they promptly replaced the dish with a new bowl, plate, spoon, and napkin to ensure there was no cross contamination.
My experience at Lakeview Lounge left me with mixed feelings. At first, I was impressed by the host's attention to allergies and the knowledgeable server who explained their protocols for celiac orders. However, I was disappointed to learn that they do not have a dedicated gluten-free fryer, making certain items unsafe for those with gluten sensitivities. The gluten-free options were limited, with only a few choices available for lunch. Despite some menu items being gluten-free, they were not clearly marked as such. Additionally, there was a mishap with a gluten cracker in the olives, even after discussing my dietary needs with the server. While the server was apologetic and offered to replace the dish, it was a concerning oversight.
I recently dined at Lakeview Lounge restaurant and was pleasantly surprised to find out that they have a dedicated gluten-free deep fryer. My daughter ordered a gluten-free Chicken and Cheese Sandwich from the kids menu, which came with house-made deep fried potato chips. The sandwich was much larger than expected for a kids menu item, and we were impressed with the quality of the food. I inquired about the deep fryer and was happy to learn about the restaurant's commitment to accommodating gluten-free dietary needs.
The menu doesn't list gluten-free items yet but the waiter will let you know what is gluten-free and what can be made gluten-free. All their sandwiches and burgers can be made gluten-free with their gluten-free buns and bread. They also have gluten-free crackers. We ordered the Dal Makhani which is a traditional Indian family recipe made of spiced been in lentil stew coriander leaves with gluten free bread instead of the naan. It was very good!We also ordered the Canadian Cheese Slate which has three cheeses, fig spread, house made jam, pickles, nuts and instead of a baguette they gave us gluten free crackers. Perfect for sharing.
We were in the fairmont on the lake louise and ate the fairview in our first night. I wanted to give the lake view lounge a chance as it had sitting outside. when booking or sitting, the host asks whether someone has allergies on the party. I told them I have keliasche disease and I am very sensitive to cross-contamination. the server was made aware and gluten-free recommendations, although not all are marked on the menu and they have no own frit. I ordered the tomato soup as or was completely gluten-free, and it came with a gluten cracker. I informed the server that brought him, and they brought him back into the kitchen and brought me the same bowl and suppenteller, but without the cracker. I pointed the cracker crumbs to the server that took our order and they took it back and brought me a completely new bowl, teller, spoon and serviette.
