El Mediterraneo - ZIHUATANEJO

Never in the years of going to ZIH have we had a bad meal here !! The food is always well prepared, fresh and quite tasty . Kudos to the cook staff who season and make the dishes !! I really give credit to Julian who oversees much of the daily activities of this establishment . The tuna sashimi is spectacular and I never can get away without having the lasagne dinner . geez even the homemade garlic toast with flecks of roasted garlic is heavenly !! service is wonderful and wine list fair . an enjoyable evening is not complete with out some cheeky banter with Julian who makes sure your well taken care of !!!

For this dish alone, it's well worth a visit. Our visit coincided with the evening Palm Sunday outdoor service at the church next door. The children's choir was a lot nicer to listen to than what was coming out of the restaurant's sound system.

El Mediterraneo is a favorite of ours, Next to the Church in El Centro Zihua. Restaurant is in an open air courtyard with the bar in front on the street. Extensive menu. I had the fettucini alfredo with sauteed chicken. Outstanding. Good service, friendly owner. Will return

We have been coming to Zihuatanejo for over 20 years and the owner Julien has made this his signature dish. Fast seared fresh tuna with sesame seeds, (my mouth waters as I write this) the dipping sauce with wasabi and soya for a killer pairing. The starter calamari is the best in all of Guerrero. We brought freinds twice in the last week and we are heading back tonight. The back courtyard is very nice or sit in the front for a street side flavour.

This restaurant is a must for Zuitanejo! The atmosphere overlooking the harbor , and the Italian atmosphere, in addition to an awesome menu and great service! The bruschetta is to die for, everything fresh and presentation outstanding! Don't disregard their specials (especials) they are great! We will return!
