The tacos are absolutely divine. I just tried the Torta for the first time, and I can't stop thinking about it. It's like a Subway from another universe that uses top-notch ingredients. I know that's not the best comparison, but it was truly incredible. I'm definitely getting it again tonight. I apologize for the obsession!

Best Tacos I've had since Los 5 Puntos in Boyle Heights! You can't get that in Chico! So I don't mind the 45-minute drive.

I am so grateful every day that we live in the best city in California for Mexican food. I'm looking at San Diego, I know, but seriously, we're so pampered. It makes no sense that there is no line with Mama Chiquita Bakery. I no longer have to go to Williams to get the perfect tortta on fresh Telera reels baked in the house (from the La Fortuna Bakery in Williams). I can go to Mama Chiquita instead. Try one and thank me later. I had to force myself to try out the Tacos and get no more Torta and holy cow, I'm so glad I did. Your carnitas are the best I ever had. So fresh, perfect and affordable. Order at the counter and they give you a slip of paper to get the Taquero out and he grabs it. Oh, and you also have your beautiful Mexican baked goods, including fresh churros filled with Vanilla Crème. Strange. You are only open Friday to Sunday, so do yourself a favor and put a warning on your phone. Bye!

It's true that this restaurant is quite expensive, and it goes beyond just the menu prices. I'm new to the neighborhood and enjoy supporting small local businesses. I used to visit here every time I worked on my recently purchased house, usually by myself—until one particular visit. This time, I was with my Spanish-speaking boyfriend, who told me that the staff were talking negatively about me. I'm accustomed to receiving stares and awkward looks from strangers, so I usually ignored it, but after he told me what they said, I couldn't overlook it anymore. I'm not Mexican and, naively, I thought their smiles were genuine. Unfortunately, I’ve decided I won't be spending any more money here or bringing any of my friends. Instead, I now take my business to Taco Naco, where the fish tacos are amazing, and the staff is friendly!
