The Ahwahnee - YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK

More Veggies options than the main dining room 3 5 Green Stars After having eaten in most places in Yosemite, I say that the Ahwahnee Hotel Bar is one of the better options. I like the Curry Village Deck Pizza or Bar food for dinner, the Ahwahnee dining room for breakfast and the Ahwahnee bar alternating as dinner or lunch. Dinner at Wawona Hotel was also really good if you were in this area. The Ahwahnee Bar has more vegan vegetarian options than the main dining room, is much cheaper, yet the quality of the food is still very good. I recommend the vegan Artichoke Hummus Artichokes, tomatoes, Chickpea Hummus, Sweet Peppers, Kalamata Olives, Fresh Herbs, Warm Pita for $16.50 and also liked the Panzanella Salad $14.50 . The soup was pretty good at $10.50, although it didn't seem so much soup at first, as the bread bowl ate everything! It turned out good at the end when the soup soup soaked bread was delicious. Apart from some small mix-ups, the service was pretty good. The best is you in the Ahwahnee! You can look at the beautiful meadow and the valley or eat outdoors on warm days. I give the Ahwahnee Hotel Bar 3 of 5 Green Stars for social and ecological effects, for these reasons: ? About half of the bar menu is suitable for vegetarians and at least two items are vegan dishes Artichoke Hummus and Tabbouleh Quinoa Bowl . Beef and lamb have much greater carbon footprints than other animal products. Could do a much better job in communicating on ingredients.

We passed for a cocktail and light lunch. The Ahwahnee Bar is nice and the staff friendly and thoughtful. Service was delightful and care was helped with menu changes to our needs. Ambience beautiful with the snow-covered trees from the high windows. The lounge areas at the hotel have cozy fireplace seats and is very welcoming.

Door lady wouldn't give us a table outside, though tables are available?? The staff valaria (might be spelt slightly wrong) was the saving grace with good service (note for 2 stars). My advice: ask what you need as a customer and enjoy the volatile daylight view of Yosemite. Disgusting doorman.

Amazing service! Amazing food! And great drinks! We enjoyed it there! I had the turkey chili and my friend had the short ribs. He had some of the local beers and I had the delicious blackberry Bourbon-Schmash!

I ordered coffee one afternoon and sat at the lobby, I told my sister to ask for a glass of water with ice. They gave her a glass of water but she said that the lady told her that there is a water in the fountain you can actually get some in there next time. What a service over a glass of water.
