Windy Hill Orchard Cidery - York

What happened? I took my children here for several years on field trips. It was great! The atmosphere, Johnny Appleseed, the cider!! Not any more. The family atmosphere has now turned hard, like the cider I guess. I purchased the family friendly cider and it was terrible. I knew the color was different, much lighter. The price was higher, and the taste? It tasted like water with a little apple juice in it. I won’t be back. If you’re looking for good cider, this isn’t the place anymore. ??

I drove an hour from Charlotte to go here and I'd do it again. Super cute cidery. I got a cider flight and donuts to share with the table. There are lots of different cider flavor options, so something for everyone. Beware, the only toilets are portapotties, but they do offer sinks and soap. Definitely a great fall activity!

Had a great time at Windy Hill Orchard Cider. Had a flight of ciders and it was amazing. I love trying all the different flavors. Of course got the donuts. They were delicious. Very dog friendly too. We definitely go back. It was a beautiful day.

This orchard has been on my places to visit since September. I'm happy I was able to visit! There's plenty of parking, they even have a parking overflow. There is a restroom area. There was live music. It was nice. I thought there was an option to walk through the orchard, there was not. I ordered the apple hand pie, Apple donuts, and the Apple cider slider. The donuts are yummy, I wish they had more cinnamon. Apples in the donuts would be a great addition. The apple pie was OK. I wish they added cinnamon sugar to the outside and I also wished it was hot when I received it. Overall, it's just OK. Hard Cider slider review below. 1. Ginger gold. Reminds me of ginger beer. Very light and refreshing. 2. Gala peach. Good, reminds me of bubble gum. 3. Jersey Blues. Yummy! You can taste the blueberry flavor. 4. Hoppin Johnny. Just your average cider. You can taste a bit of citrus. 5. Rusty Gold. You can definitely smell the spice. The spice flavor is definitely prevalent. I think I would enjoy this more as a hot cider. This puts me in the mind of a ginger bread cider. 6. Rotating (Pomegranate). Aftertaste puts me in the mind of apple cider vinegar. It has a very apple taste. My favorite is the first one. My second favorite is the second one my third favorite is the blueberry my fourth favorite is the six my fifth favorite is the fourth in my least favorite is the spiced. I love how the ciders are light, flavorful and refreshing. Three out of five stars. The hard cider slider was my favorite part of the experience.

I really enjoyed this place. The apple cider donuts were delicious, and my favorite item was definitely the frozen apple cider.
