I have not eaten in a Red Rooster for many years but decided to pop in and have one of their wraps. Ordered a Chilli Coleslaw wrap and regular fries. Lots of chicken, not very spicy though. Chips were great. Girl on the desk could do with some smile and welcome the customers lessons.
We were driving around Yeppoon looking for somewhere to have dinner. We decided to grab some Red Rooster take it to the esplanage and eat it there at the waterfront. Meals were nicely cooked tasted great.
After seeing their advertisement on TV for fish and chips, I decided to order takeaway. Unfortunately, I was disappointed to find that I only received three small pieces of fish with soggy chips. The ad had shown bigger portions of fish, similar to those found at traditional fish and chip shops. The most disappointing aspect was the high price, at over $10. I would not recommend this restaurant for fish and chips; it's better to stick with their chicken option.
The food at this restaurant is exceptional and the service is fast. However, on the day of my visit, there were five female employees working and none of them were cleaning. There was food left on the counters, mud on the floors, and grass on the seats, making the restaurant appear dirty around lunchtime.
