I go to this restaurant specifically for their unique taffy crisp pudding, which you won't find anywhere else. Plus, Nancy offers outstanding service. Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere all deserve a 5-star rating!

My wife and I stopped for a late lunch while passing through town, and we were pleased with the quality of the food. I ordered the Dungeness crab cake, though I thought $22 was a bit high for one small cake. My wife had the Ona burger for lunch, which she really enjoyed. Reservations are recommended for this establishment. The restaurant itself is quite beautiful, featuring elegant touches like fabric napkins. Upon arrival, a sign instructed us to wait to be seated, but when a server approached, she informed us we could sit anywhere. Given the ambiance, I expected a more formal welcome and guidance to a table, so that was a bit frustrating—it felt like the server was reluctant to engage. Once seated and given time to peruse the menu, we ordered drinks. The food options in Yachats are limited, and unbeknownst to the server, my spouse and I have several dietary restrictions that we usually manage discreetly. The menu offered plenty of seafood and a couple of beef choices, but there were no chicken or poultry options. We chose to share an appetizer and each ordered a half salad, as that was listed as a menu option. The server soon informed me that an ingredient was missing for my drink and offered a substitute. I accepted, but I needed the menu again to decide on my replacement drink. That was the last we saw of the server until our food arrived. Meanwhile, another table of four received attentive service, with the server regularly checking on them. I told my spouse that if our food arrived before the server took my drink order, I would forgo it—and that is exactly what happened. She never revisited my drink order, making me feel forgotten, especially after she had offered a replacement. My Caesar salad was overdressed to the point of being inedible, while my spouse’s salad was fine. During our visit, the dining room was mostly empty, with fewer than a dozen patrons present. We decided to take a dessert home with us, but the final bill for one drink, one bread appetizer, two half salads, and a dessert came to $85, which felt steep considering the lack of service. Additionally, a local food and beverage tax of 5% and an automatic gratuity of 20% were applied to the bill, effectively adding 25% to our total. My spouse was quite irritated, as it was a disappointing experience overall. If a restaurant automatically includes a 20% gratuity, the staff should ensure all customers receive attentive service, regardless of their bill size. Unfortunately, our experience did not reflect that standard. The next day, we drove to Florence, where we found many more dining options, including several rated four stars or higher.

5 stars!!!!! Absolutely fantastic! The food is incredibly fresh, and everything I tried was made from scratch. I highly recommend you stop by and enjoy it for yourself! Don't hesitate—just go!
