The table water was refilled quickly and we were told to place our order when we were ready. The menu had only two vegan options, but others could be made vegan upon request. I asked about the vegan option for the breakfast tacos, which originally contained egg and bacon, and was advised to switch to tofu and mushrooms instead. I ordered that, while my partner ordered the chargrilled vegetable toastie. The food arrived promptly and was well presented, though the tacos unexpectedly had pineapple in them. The avocado was all in one clump on the side, making it difficult to eat, and the tofu was in a long strip, making it hard to manage. I ended up using a knife and fork. The chargrilled vegetable toastie was the standout dish - the bread was fantastic and all the ingredients worked well together. The coffee was decent, but not the best I've had. They also offered vegan sweets like biscuits and cream brownie, carrot cake, and banana bread, but at $9.90 each, they seemed a bit pricey. Overall, it was a good breakfast and I appreciated the vegan options, as there aren't many in the area. I would consider coming back to try another meal, but would definitely order the toastie again.
The restaurant is situated at the rear of the parking lot off Cole's Street. There are numerous vegan options available, a fantastic atmosphere, and helpful staff.
I absolutely adore this small café! It is conveniently located for us and is our go-to spot for vegan options. Almost everything on the menu can be made vegan, and most of the items in the display case are vegan as well. I highly recommend the veggie toastie and the sky croissants, both of which are naturally vegan.
Dramanti has the best coffee in the bayside area and also the best toastie in Brisbane. It is worth a trip out to the area just to try the toastie. They also have a range of vegan baked goods, all of which are clearly labelled if they are vegan. The kitchen menu has a range of vegan options and many of the vegetarian dishes can be replaced with vegan alternatives. High quality non-dairy milks of all kinds are available. Super friendly staff that are always very helpful. We are here every week and will continue to be for as long as we live in Brisbane.
We were in Dramanti a few times and always enjoyed it. Not sure if they changed management, but our last visit was a shame. We ordered vegan Okonomiyaki only 25-30 minutes later to say that it was actually not vegan. We agreed to have Poke Shots instead, which we were explained with Tofu. They did not arrive for another good 25 minutes until what point we were starving. There was no tofu, the ingredients were a mixture of hot and cold vegetables and quinoa, which simply did not work and the sauce was not on our taste at all. I forgot to ask if there is a difference in the price between what we ordered and what we got, so we basically paid $60 for two bowls of vegetables and quinoa and two cold drinks (which also arrive for 30 minutes). There were very few other customers in so I am not sure why everything took so long, other people were served before us who came after us, what my pet Peeve from Essen is! It won't be back.
