Stewart's Shops - Wurtsboro

Stopped in to fill up. Bright and clean on inside. Bathroom was an absolute train wreck. Wastebasket overflowing. Dirt smeared sink. I’ve worked in service industry and this was not a “we got super busy”, this was just let go. I love Stewart’s. It’s my go to but this was disappointing .

As stated in a previous review Devin M (as he clearly gave us his last initial for reporting him) is not suited for the job in which he works. My husband ordered a chocolate milkshake and asked for extra chocolate syrup in it. When the milkshake wasn't made with any chocolate syrup my husband asked politely for Devin to add it to the shake. He was told its over there as Devin pointed to the toppings. My husband asked again explaining it needed to be blended in and again was met with condescending gestures towards the self serve syrup. Devin does not care about getting in trouble, clearly. Most of the good staff left with the coming of the new manager, who is a whole other problem and there is not enough room in this box to put. I will say the shift supervisor handled the issue with grace today but I think all the locals would want Jim back in a heartbeat. The new manager and Devin leave a lot to be desired.

Clean, food and coffee are fresh and high quality. Staff is very sweet.

This is a clean Stewart's with very helpful staff. You're mostly in and out, which I appreciate. If you don't want to wait on line, don't come here between 3 and 4 PM. Everyone in the area does shift changes around that time, so people going to work and people coming from work fill up the entire store. Not the time to be there if you're in a rush.
