Didn't like it at all. The Sang Choy bow was all muddy and brown salad leaves, no idea what was in spring rolls, but they were terrible. The short soup was ok, but hardly a filling in the dumplings. It won't go back.
Everyone likes Chinese now and then whether tiredness to relieve Mum from the choir of cooking, or the parents want to eat, or the kids deserve a treat, or because the Sharks football club is nearby, and Woolooware station a block away. Ot... you like Chinese. You will love this Chinese! It is located in the middle of the very small, compact and user-friendly Woolooware shopping center, on the north side of the railway, convenient next to a bottle shop (the restaurant is BYO and cork is about $4.00 a bottle, but it is also licensed with a number of very good wines at very competitive prices). It has all Entrees you love (mum; San Choi bow; vegetarian spring rolls to die; Soups; the list goes on and on, very cheap: 6 pieces spring roll at $7.00; the same price for 4 San Choi sheets). And the nets are equally impressive in their diversity, size and price (average!3.50-$15.50). We never manage to get the candy, but always enjoy the choice of rice, whether cooked, fried, vegetarian or not. The service is incredibly polite, friendly and welcoming. Diana Wu is in front of the house and her husband is the cook. They are open on Tuesday afternoon for lunch and dinner and have really good lunch bargains (departure) with an average of $5.00-7.00 per course. The restaurant is air conditioned, has three shiny chandeliers, Chinese swords or coins on the walls and room for small family gatherings. This is a family-friendly place. parking is located on the street outside and at night there is a lot of it; If you go for lunch during the week, you should be sure to park on the side opposite the restaurant, as the restaurant side is limited to 30 minutes. On Saturdays and Sundays, especially at night, no problems at all. Go! You'll enjoy everything.
I visited this restaurant for the first time tonight. It's a classic hidden gem with delicious food. The building and decor are a bit outdated, but the staff are friendly and the food is fantastic! It's not too greasy and the Billy Kee chicken is amazing. The prices are reasonable. We were pleased to see that for our take-out order, they used a reused cardboard box instead of a plastic bag, which we thought was a great way to minimize plastic waste.
Amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed the Fried Gow Gees and the Billy Kee dishes. The flavors were awesome and I had never tried them before. I will definitely be returning. The waitress was extremely friendly and helpful. Two thumbs up.
