Celebrated family member's 70th birthday here recently, our party of 10 had an enjoyable Sunday evening dinner, all remarking on the delicious fare. Sat outside, but the gas guzzling heaters performed admirably. They weren't busy, and the young-ish waiter dealt admirably with a demanding birthday boy.

My husband booked ahead as he wanted to take me there as he had been in the past and loved it. I had the Alaskan crab which was very tasty. My husband had the chilli mud crab but said it was no where near as good as the last time he dined there. We ordered a couple of sides and I don't understand why they would have steamed broccoli as a dish - no butter or side dressing just large broccoli pieces shoved in a bowl. The waiter seemed quite disinterested and we realised after leaving that he had only given us one glass each our of the bottle we ordered and hadn't filled our empty glasses. The restaurant was pretty quiet whilst the others were busy - in hindsight that made sense. Nice location but based on food and service wouldn't go there again.

Booked on line for lunch only a couple of days in advance and were able to seat our party of seven ahead of our booked time. Service was friendly and comfortably paced with taking of drink orders and food orders. The menu leans towards a fine array of meat offerings, with alternatives available. The steaks are served to your liking, are well prepared, and are delicious. Sides and sauces are tasty and highly recommended. To begin with, the appetisers have a wide offering, and my favourite of the day was the sashimi oysters. The prawn dish was popular and highly acclaimed. An extensive wine list is provided, and we enjoyed the cloudy bay Pinot Noir as our accompanying beverage.Would definitely return again soon, and highly recommend to anyone wanting to enjoy good food in an iconic location.

The carnivores of our group loved the food, the rest of us who don't care for steak were not so impressed. Very overpriced small portions with only the meat on the plate, everything else was an extra.

I was there for a group dinner. Out waiter was superb and really knew the menu and the ingredients and what to recommend. I thoroughly enjoyed the entree, main and desert as well as the side dishes. The service was great and so was the ambience and décor.
