No food to be eaten outside so you have to eat in a dingy 70s velvet feel room. I think they have missed the mark here....make the beer garden for everyone. Smokers can go outside as in other places.<br/ <br/ would love to come back but dont want to eat in that room.<br/ <br/ July 2018<br/ ..new kitchen...new chef...soso.<br/ Visited here looking for a burger....none!<br/ No pizzas anymore.<br/ No mac and cheese balls.<br/ Ended up ordering fish and chips and parma..<br/ Fish lovely serving a dory and parma ok.<br/ I think when u take over a kitchen u need to have the basics like a burger and pizza in pub.<br/ Also on a Sunday many pubs have all day dining now...may be time to extend hours instead of opening at 5pm....<br/
Great pub, great vibe and awesome food! It's hard to go past the chicken Parma but the specials here are great. Good service and friendly staff! I'll keep coming back.<br/
Enjoyed a nice meal here last night (eggplant parma). Unfortunately it took more than 1 hour for anyone to clear the table afterwards. Wanted a Sav Blanc with my meal but was told they had sold out of Sav Blanc, Riesling and all sparkling wine, including Champagne. Pretty annoying particularly at this time of year when you want to celebrate.
Can't imagine why this run down hovel of a pub gets such good wraps from punters. I had a steak there tonight and sadly this animal died in vain or possibly as a result of a collision with a truck on the nearby highway. A Scotch fillet at $29 bucks in a restaurant with all the ambiance of a funeral parlour was one of the worst meals I've had in a long time. Tough, fatty and grisly, topped with something resembling sump oil, masquerading as pepper sauce, accompanied by soggy boiled vegetables, will not have me queuing up for more. In addition to this was a sound system delivering the high volume wailing of some obscure bunch of unidentifiable minstrels, tatty tired furniture and a beer garden resembling a tropical island after a hurricane. Sorry Windsor I won't be going back - too many quality choices in the area. Pity, because you have great staff. I think I'll nip up the road to the Railway thanks.
Enjoyed the early evening sun here with friends and a dog in the garden. Then had a pub meal from the restaurant inside. Nice place, good food and drink but it's a bit of a battle to secure a table outside!
