Marmara Turkish Restaurant - Windsor

We had a lovely dinner here. The atmosphere was excellent. The food was extremely nice. The staff were helpful.

Dropped in for coffee after having been battered by the noise at Hawker Hall, and the place seemed pretty nice so came back to try the food. Definitely worth it. TBH I would have walked past a million times because I thought I didn't like Turkish food that much, but we were desperate for a coffee and they were most welcoming. Food is not your average Turkish in that there's a broader choice of options and it's delicious. We had lovely tender calamari to share and the chicken on skewers, again to share. We also shared an entree of 'spring rolls'. Glass of wine each plus coffee. Nice evening out. Bliss to be able to talk without shouting! On a Friday and was busy but not packed. Service is charming and efficient. Nice find and will be back. Finished the evening with an icecream at Pidapipo, over the road.

This restaurant is one of Melbourne's oldest Turkish Restaurants. I initially ate there in the 1980sNew management. Fresh, very tasty, sufficient amount. Cold Efes Beer!It was my birthday and we sat next to another couple (known to management) who also celebrated a birthday. As soon as they realised I too was a birthday gal out came the candles. Got the song and even customers sitting on the street section came over to wish me a happy birthday.A beautiful meal. Worth the drive in peak hour traffic from S E Suburbs. I won't wait so long next time to return.

I really want to give this restaurant a positive review because the service and ambiance are outstanding, but unfortunately, the food fell short of expectations.

Once again, I had an excellent experience at this restaurant. The service was great and the food was wonderfully tasty and fresh. They also have a good range of Mediterranean options for those who are vegan. I always leave this place happy and satisfied. It's definitely worth a visit.
