The Northern Bean - Willoughby

I've been wanting to visit this restaurant since they open early at 5:30 or something. After a quick swim, I finally had the perfect excuse to try their scrambled eggs, hash browns, sourdough toast, and of course, a double macchiato. Everything came out piping hot, just as I requested. I have a fondness for old-school cafes like this one, where they cook traditional breakfast dishes well and provide friendly, homely service. There's no need for fancy PR campaigns, pretentious dishes, exaggerated photos, or overly positive reviews for a restaurant to succeed.

I have been enjoying breakfast at the Northern Bean since it opened, at least once a week. The homey, family atmosphere makes you feel right at home and the food is consistently excellent. The quality is always top-notch and the coffee is superb!

The restaurant offers excellent service and delicious coffee, along with tasty bacon and egg rolls. The casual atmosphere is enhanced by the abundance of books and cozy corners where guests can relax, enjoy their coffee, read, or catch up on emails.

Great service, very efficient and friendly. Had lunch here with a friend, we ordered the Chicken Schnitzel Burger, and the Aussie Beef Burger. Both came with a side of chips which were awesome! Very well seasoned and not at all greasy. Both burgers were delicious, and very decent portions without being over the top. We also had a Hazelnut Brownie and a Pistachio Biscotti. The brownies were great, not too sweet but not bitter, and the Biscotti was THE BEST I have had in a long time. The flavour was beautiful. Their coffee is also fantastic and full of flavour. Love this place and will be back. Prices are also super reasonable!

Went in there today for a quick coffee. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The coffee was wonderful and we are looking forward to visit for breakfast!!
