The Anchor - Wichita

Alexis was our server! she checked on us at the right times! super nice and bubbly!!!! we had everything cheeseball!!!!! it was AMAZING!!!!!! for our main course we had the Wilbur with loaded sweet potatoe tots!!! kuddos too the cooks!!!! we also had the LOADED buffalo mac and cheese!!!!!! my boyfriend and I love this place and we are always satisfied with service here!!!!!

Everything on their menu is yummy!! Staff is awesome!! BUT I wish you all would bring back the jalapeno beer caps. Love this place and definitely recommend it to anyone!!

I love going to the Anchor, sometimes they get really busy. Then you have to wait, but usually not that much of a wait. The noise level gets really loud when they are busy. But when they are slow, it's an nice quit place. They have trouble when you ask for certain things to be taken off your meal, and trying to get your fries unsalted it's like an uphill battle. The rest of your meal gets cold and usually most everyone in your party is finished with their meal by the time they get the fries the way you want them. Why can't restaurants get your orders correct, where you can finish your meal along with everyone in your party? Most restaurants are the same way if you have problems with your meal. I am picky and most times I have to take most of my meal home wit me.

What a great place! Love coming here! Located on the east end of downtown Douglas Street, The Anchor is an old saloon that has been refitted into a really cool little dive joint. The selection of eats is very appealing and the bar side of the place offers many choices to choose from. I opted for their Reuben and found it delectable. Despite the busy lunch crowd, the service was excellent! Try this place out!

Anchor has been one of our go-to places for many years. However, in recent years it's been neglected a bit. ..the bathrooms are constantly out of order and dirty... and many of the draft beers on their menu tend to run out, or even sometimes come out room temperature and/or flat.Sometimes the service can be a little iffy... but, I will say that the food has always been great though and hasn't experienced any reduction in quality.I just hope that the expected remodeling actually happens.. and maybe we'll see the recent short-comings get turned around.
