N J Cafe Bakery - Wichita East

We like to go sit down and eat a meal there and then take meat pies and spinach pies home from the bakery next door... delicious healthy food..

Fantastic eatery, clean and comfortable. The food was amazing, fast and friendly service made for a great experience. We ate hummus, baba ghanouj, kafta platter, falafel, baba shawarma, kebbe balls, and almond and pistachio baklava.

This place was awesome. Our server was so pleasant and helpful.The wonderful variety of food was tasty and delicious with just the right spices. It was clean and spacious so not sitting on top of other patrons. The hummus was the best I've ever tasted and, bonus, there's a market next door to buy it and other wonderful Mediterranean goodies.I may have found my new favorite place!And the grocery attached has awesome variety of middle eastern foods and spices. Wow! Great selection Vegetarian options: Today we had the vegan cheesecake suggested by our server. AMAZING! Each visit I love this place more.

I went into N&J Cafe trying to deviate from the more common Mediterranean place that most people are familiar with in town. You know the name, rhymes with Teddy. ;)The inside wasn’t too bad, clean, and orderly. A nice man immediately greeted me at the door, and told me to pick any seat.Once seated, my friendly waitress came right over. She brought my water right over, and provided my menu. I ordered the chicken shawarma, hummus, and baba ghanouji. The food came right out with very little wait.The chicken shawarma was only ok. Kind of messy and too only so-so flavoring. I would not order this again, and do not recommend. I’ll try something else if I happen in again.Hummus was good. Pita chips seemed sort of old, and the pita bread was cold (used to it more fresh and warm).Baba ghanouji was good. I thought flavor was good, and consistency and texture was up to par.In the end, service was great, shawarma was only so-so, but sides were good.

Always a great experience eating at N&J. Love visiting the market as well. We've been eating here over 20 years.Great service, relaxing atmosphere, and tasty food.
