Auld Brass Door - Whycocomagh

The food they serve is frozen stuff and tasteless! I think people go there more for drinking than eating.

Simple food home cooking wonderful prices clean and when you left you were not full does not look like a place to stop but once inside everything changes .

We just stopped and had supper at the brass door. The food was excellent and the service was good. The colossal burger was just that over 4 inches tall and the fish and chips were excellent. Well worth the stop.

If you have a bad experience here, we're not sure what it is you're looking for. We were in an RV at Whycocomagh Park across the road. In September, 2018, we drove up to relatively empty parking lot. Walking in we were warmly greeted by who, it turned out, was the owner. The other half other ownership team was in the kitchen, and we met him later. The food was great, ambiance warm and inviting and the evening was wonderful. I was treated to Dick's seafood chowder, which we were lucky enough to have on the menu. The meal was great, and we talked with another visitor across the tables. Our chef came out later, and story time began... We will always treasure our time here, and meeting the Martin's. Dick recommended/insisted we go to Le Gabriel in Cheticamp, when he found out our ravel plans. We did, and what another treasure! Thanks for a delightful time and wonderful memories...

The owner of the restaurant was very kind and the food was superb. The portion size of the turkey dinner was just right. The service was quick, with our order being delivered in a timely manner, and they consistently checked in on us throughout our meal.
