Joe's Old Fashioned Barbecue

Avoid ordering the rib platter if you're really hungry. The large plate only comes with four ribs and no sauce. The onion rings taste like they came straight from a freezer bag—just awful. I was not impressed with the meal at all. The coleslaw and hush puppies seemed neglected, and the portions were so small that I left feeling hungry. I've had better food and service at Bojangles.

Definitely eat there! The food was so delicious that we almost ordered lunch again. In the end, we just got a pound of BBQ to take home.

This was my first and last visit. I had dinner for two, which included ribs, chicken, and BBQ. The chicken portion consisted of just a breast and a wing. The food was mediocre at best, and the presentation was lacking— it looked like a large, unappetizing brown mass on the plate. Don’t the chefs know how to properly grill ribs? Chef Ramsay would have had a field day here. The daily specials might be better, but I won’t be returning to find out.

Don't understand the reviews. Maybe this is the best BBQ in NC and you never had BBQ somewhere else, but that's garbage. Decided to eat here because I am a truck driver and this place was right next to my delivery. First, the staff is rude. The old lady, my card, and she threw her on the counter to give her back. The food wasn't even hot in 5 minutes. What is Fast Food BBQ? No sauce at all, apparently they only have ketchup and hot sauce? In addition, the taste is garbage. I admit it's cheap for BBQ, but I understand why. Sometimes you get what you pay for.

We've been wanting to try this place since we moved here a few months ago. Not disappointed at all. Clean, cute place. Customer service was great, food was great. All around great!
