Bensi Of Whitehouse

Bensi in Whitehouse, NJ, has become my top choice for Italian food in the area. It seems like we dine there nearly twice a week! I can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough!

We started with mussels in a red sauce that were simply amazing. I ordered the shrimp fra diavolo in the small portion, but it was anything but small—truly phenomenal! My husband had the veal sorrentino and can't stop raving about it. We were so full by the end of our meal that we couldn't even think about coffee or dessert, even though there was a wonderful selection! If we ever find ourselves in this area again, we will definitely dine here! Plus, the prices were very reasonable!

A public post under my name gave them rave reviews. There is only one problem. I never ate there in my life!

We had a wonderful time with our group of eight. The larger tables were arranged in a square, which made it easy to chat. The service was excellent, and we appreciated the warm hospitality and freshly baked bread. The menu offered a wide variety of delicious dishes, and the portions were generous—even the “light” options were quite filling. One member of our party has celiac disease, so gluten-free choices were crucial for us. They not only had a large selection of gluten-free options, but the chef also came to our table to reassure us that all gluten-free items were prepared separately. I would highly recommend this place to anyone! I'm so glad we found it, though I wish it were closer to home. Dietary restrictions: Very celiac-friendly!
