They made us sandwiches to go—exactly as we wanted, with options including gluten free bread and all the horseradish you could dream. We picked up their house-made sausages made without gluten but packed full of elk, bison, and deliciousness. Everything looked great and what we ate lived up to its promise. The potato salad and cranberry square Paul had, for instance, were every bit as good as they looked and they looked REALLY good. Similarly, the Nanaimo bar Kim had. We’d go back again, and again, and again.
The service at this restaurant is excellent, the food is delicious, and the owners are wonderful. What more could you ask for?

During the busy lunch rush, it appears that pre-orders and regular customers are given priority, leaving walk-ins waiting for attention to pay. Additionally, one of the new owners is not well-received. I long for the days of the original Deli.
