Sanchez Cantina - Whitehorse

This local restaurant was best value we got on our whole trip. The meal was excellent. The service was wonderful and staff friendly.

The food at this Mexican restaurant Oaxacan cuisine) was awesome…..the best we have had outside of Mexico…memorable!

Very mediocre. We went twice, just to be sure (and because let's face it, there's not that many choices in town) and both times, the food was disappointing. We had the enchiladas and tacos. Food was blend. Even the spicy option was blend. On the bright side, portions are large. It's a great restaurant for an after work drink and snack (nice sangria, decent guacamole and chips) but the food is a let down.

The food was absolutely fabulous. I was tempted to lock my plate. We had a simple shrimp dish as a starter and it was amazing. With the main, be sure to order the black beans as a side. You won't be disappointed

We ordered a chicken and beef burrito dish. They were good sized portions and it came with two sides. We asked for the rice and beans with both orders. What we didn’t realize was that there was already beans in the burritos, so we got a lot of beans with the meal. We have travelled quite a bit and had authentic Mexican food. Even though the meal was tasty, it missed the authentic Mexican taste. I ordered extra spicy it was good, not overly hot. Nice atmosphere to eat in and they have an outdoor patio.
