I had Halibut and chips it was very good. Beautiful presentation about all meals.... Female server was super friendly and made her job excellent!!!
A friend and I shared crispy fish and chips. Delicious. A little shy on the Koleslaw, but that's not what we were looking for anyway. Together with Yukon Brewing beer on tap perfect.
Enjoy a great Saturday evening at The Deck in the High Country Inn during my recent Whitehorse family visit. The duo playing/singing was good, only the style and volume of the music that fits the crowd this evening. It was disappointed, the main dining room was closed,...but the conversation was on it in this casual setting.
Stop by for breakfast before heading to the airport. The prices were fair. There was only one server working, so it took a bit of time to receive our food, which was surprising since it wasn't too crowded and we just ordered standard breakfast items (eggs, sausage, pancakes, bacon) with nothing out of the ordinary. We were disappointed to see that the pancakes and sausages were overcooked, but drowning them in syrup helped. I would only recommend this restaurant if you want to stay within the hotel premises.
We came for lunch on a drizzly afternoon as we remembered this place being pretty good on a previous visit to Whitehorse. The food we had was tasty and generous but the waitresses who were attentive at the start seemed to be absorbed in some...back room drama near the end of our meal and myself and a few other patrons had to hunt down someone to settle up at the end. Not a big deal...just annoying. It was that kind of day.
