Liberty Subs & Donairs - Whitecourt

What a hidden gem, and I don't say that lightly as most hidden gems don't blow my mind! This unassuming joint with forgettable decor an unassuming, casual set up legitimately has the BEST donairs I have ever had in Alberta, including Calgary! This is a walk up, pay up front self serve sort of joint, very reasonably priced, with the most amazing donairs a man could ask for. The flavour balance was spectacular the donair meat freshly shaved and prepared, fresh veggies. Here's the extra part fantastic presentation, this donair looked bomb and expert wrapping to minimize the mess and to optimize ease of eating. Never would I have thought that my favourite donair place would be in Whitecourt, but alas, turns out there are surprises in every corner. I have no doubt I will be a regular here, though my waistline may have a different opinion.

Looks are a bit deceiving! From outside this place doesn't look like much. Once inside you'll find it's clean, modern, and the staff are incredibly friendly. The menu options are vast and the food is absolutely delicious. It feels like a family business in here and we loved it. Big thumbs up from us!

From a donair snob, this place hits it out of the park. Was barely able to finish the large donair. Pleasantly surprised!

Delicious! Was planning on stopping in for a Donair, Ended up leaving with a milkshake and curly fries too. The milkshake was like one of those old traditional style milkshakes that you don't get to find anywhere anymore absolutely delicious curly fries were awesome as well didn't seem like they just came out of a frozen bag and the donair was perfect not over saucy and the meet was delicious highly recommended. Service was great and had a few customers at 3 o'clock in the afternoon which wasn't expected. As I was leaving another customer in there was also giving them a complement on how good the food is.

Fresh and delicious donairs. Way better than McDonalds or something! One of the top 5 donairs I've had in my life and I know donairs! Adequate portion sizes available. Medium size was more than enough for me. Very clean diner. Will have to try a poutine next time!
