High Hawsker - Whitby

This pub was recommended by another pub who was full of what a recommendation! it was a cake night and I had the steak, ale and mushroom. it was absolutely delicious. a huge cake with the choice of potatoes and probably veg one of the best I had. would recommend and return for another meal

We didn't have a reservation. Just called in to see if they had a table and if they would allow our dog to sit with us. Could not of been more helpful, lovely food, brill service and reasonably priced. Would recommend

Pie night blimey we had this pub recommended by our son and his wife. They suggested going on a Tuesday night as it’s pie night. There was a selection of pies available about 5 in total I think. There was 4 steps for the meal pick your pie. Then select your vegetables, next was a choice of potatoes and then finally choose a drink. My wife had the chicken ham pie which came packed full of chicken breast and topped off with a puff pastry lid. I had the Steak Ale Mushroom pie which was a full short crust pastry pie. The meal was very hot and well presented and the staff were very accommodating and attentive thoroughly worth a look if you are in Hawsker near Whitby

Very vibrant, welcoming and attentive staff. On this occasion I had their steak and ale pie. The pastry was divine and a very tasty filling. The best I have ever had.

I would have appreciated a larger selection on the menu, but what we ordered was absolutely delicious. It's a dog-friendly pub, as long as your furry friend stays in the bar area, and I must say, the cheesecake of the day was incredible!
