Przekaż informację zwrotnąTwo years later, still a fan of this restaurant. Cozy ambience, friendly and personable service, good value tasty French food $40/$50 set menu with appetizer, main and dessert! , and good espresso drinks! Seriously, such a nice staple to have in the neighbourhood. It's one of those places that you always leave feeling happy.
Been here a couple times and the owner is very sweet and the food is always fresh and tasty. Great ambiance. Great place for special occasion or just to have a nice outing with family, friends and great conversation.
Been wanting to give this place a try and what better time than an anniversary to celebrate our togetherness for 5 yrs married and counting 18+ years. Its simple wooden chair/tables and hard flooring and probably seat about 40-50 ppl max. Had some nice french music playing in the background. A rare treat to dine at French mix with Mediterrean fusion of sort. The owners are lovely and caring and you can see they care for each of their customers. Its literally run by a husband, wife, son and one helper. We ordered the prix fixed meal of duck leg beef stew $39 each pp) which comes with house soup that day is carrot soup or spring mix salad, but we both opted for soup. The carrot soup had a hint of certain spice that made the taste a bit different which we couldn't tell but it was fine. My wife ordered the duck leg confit which had a nice easy chew and meat was moist as well, where it came with beet puree we believe and one yellow bell pepper cut in half roasted. I got the beef stew mix with carrot, celery. The portion was okay but not super filling, but luckily I ate something late that day so I wasn't too hungry then. Wife ordered long espresso and thoroughly enjoyed the strong beverage. The only thing was while changing our baby, the helper accidently cleared the beverage and everything else while we're still there. lol Didn't want to inform the owner b/c it seems like she was training the helper. Overall, a good price point for their offering and we definitely consider coming back to try other choices. Food: 3.75/5 Service: 4.5/5 Ambiance: 3.75/5
Here (voila! is a charming and delicious getaway to make your own. A famous chef advised to leave any restaurant boasting pages of options because it means the kitchen must rely on frozen food. So, here the wonderful menu focuses on necessary yet sufficient French Bistro fare; including two 3 course meal or a la carte options with vegan choices. We decided on salad, a main course and desert combo, adding a favourite escargot entree for sharing. Limited seating also turns down the surrounding chatter while soft, appropriate French Cafe music sets the ambiance. The decor? Nice and pardons the pun, Nice like. The washroom, impeccably clean including real hand towels. Our meal by candlelight began with a glass of intriguing and tasty house wine. The house chef salad was cool, fresh and crisply in a light (maple? balsamic vinegar dressing. As always, we shared our must share escargot with extra dipping bread, followed by a generous peppercorn streak and lamb chops with French chips accompanied by a homemade garlic aioli that were so good. Excellent potatoes, oil, seasoning and cooking. Desert stumped us as we wanted everything on offer. A dark chocolate mousse and maple pie, not too sweet topped off with espresso and Latte. wonderful coffee claimed to be 2nd best roaster in the world if only because this choice establishment is too small to obtain the attention of the top tier supplier. Who cares! They even stock it for anyone (and customers do ask to bring some beans home. Service by the Euro French owners was quick, helpful and friendly. We felt at home. Convenient free parking just outside the door (after 6pm . We slipped in on a Friday evening minus reservations but they filled up quickly and rightly slow. Don 't venture in expecting any outlandish recipes but rather simple, well prepared delicious French Bistro cuisine. Think blue ribbon, countryside Inn fare. Well done? Oui, merci!
I visited this restaurant for the first time last night, and I was impressed by the friendly and attentive service provided by the family-run establishment. The chef, who is also the father of the family, made sure to check on all of the guests in the dining area regularly. It was clear that this restaurant has a loyal customer base, as the chef seemed to know several tables. Additionally, guests have the option to bring their own bottle of wine and pay a corking fee. The food was delicious and prepared from scratch. I highly recommend the grilled apple salad with feta, as well as the mussels in white wine sauce. The maple syrup pie for dessert was incredible, and I finished off the meal with a decaf espresso Americano. Overall, it was a lovely evening, and I am grateful for the experience. Thank you.
