8-bit Beans - Whitby

Always great to visit this wonderful cafe/craft beer bar/arcade.Very fun place to kill some time either alone or with friends. It's truly an all ages sort of pace offer retro arcade games and a number of free play sets at tables.Enjoy a specialty coffee/tea or one of the many craft beers on offer. They also sell some basic snack like hot dogs, nachos, grilled cheese and more.Staff is always very friendly and helpful whenever needed. You just buy tokens and you can use the tokens in any of the arcade/pin ball games.

Such a fun spot to have a great cup of coffee or a drink and some tasty food while relaxing or playing some old style arcade games that bring back all the nostalgic 80's feels!! The atmosphere was fun and relaxing and the service was fantastic. I went with my kids and they loved playing some of the pinball and video games too. They also had food..my daughter had a pb nutella sandwich and she loved it. I'd definitely go back, maybe next time in the evening next time for some drinks!! This time I had a cheesecake latte and it was delicious!!Kid-friendliness: The kids really enjoyed the food and slushies as well as the games.

I took the family there for our first time. The atmosphere was nice, and the people working there were great. The problem I had was that a lot of the games we tried were not working properly. Either the joy sticks were not functioning 100%, or It ate our coins. The staff were helpful if our coins got taken, and couldn't play.

Food is a bit expensive for what it is, but what do you expect with the location being right in the middle lf downtown Whitby?The staff are friendly and they serve your food quickly and with a smile. If there are any problem with the arcades, the staff are helpful and will refund your coins.My son (13 years at the time) has had a private party at this place and almost a year later he still talks about it.If you haven't been yet, then check it out! They are always getting new arcade games to play and have active social media for new games and menu offerings.Kid-friendliness: It's a clean and safe indoor arcade with hot dogs on the menu and candy at the front counter. My son (13 years old going on 14 this year) loves this place!

We visit 8bit on the regular, as we love the retro vibe coffee. Our daughter has become such a fan that she wanted her 16th birthday party there.We wanted to take a moment to thank the 2 hosts who helped us out so much today to make her birthday partysuch a success! Your kindness, patience, and overly helpful attitude really stood out!We would absolutely book for a private event here again and recommended it to others!Until next time, thanks team 8bit, you guys rock!
