Oaks Restaurant Cafe Bar - Whanganui

We had a fantastic meal and received excellent service on our last night in Whanganui. Looking back, I should have ordered the beef Wellington instead of the Scotch fillet, as it was the tastier of the two dishes.

The ambiance of this restaurant is stunning. The food was incredible, with generous portion sizes. The bartender made delicious cocktails, and our waiter provided excellent service with a constant smile. We will definitely be returning with the whole family.

The staff was friendly and provided excellent service. The meal was delicious and the desserts were amazing! The atmosphere was relaxed and my partner and I left feeling very happy. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Was twice recently and food was hit and missed. Portion size was everywhere. Some too big and other too small orders for bread were completely forgotten and meat was cooked for two on our table and overcooked on a separate dish for the second. Okay in a pinch, but not somewhere where I would look for a special occasion.

The tables were crammed too close together, made uncomfortable. Also the main dishes of the buffet seemed to be running out quicker then they were being brought out, it was busy but you'd expect a bit better organisation
