The meal was beautiful, a creative menu and fantastic quality food. I cannot recommend getting dessert enough. One of the most beautiful presentations I have seen. For the quality of food and the spectacular service the is unbelievable value for money.
Visited for outdoor dining experience. Food was v disappointing. I had St. John Dory fish which was accompanied by mussels and clams Fish was nice but rest of meal was bland-not a lot of flavour, in fact spring onions were soggy and inedible. Dessert was nice but tiny. Other member of party commented on duck being v. average. They found Belgian chocolate dessert to be hard and cold which had been called a warm dessert. In fact all food was barely warm and not hot. Didn't complain as it was our first outing together in over a year. Setting is absolutely beautiful and staff were attentive, friendly and helpful. I would really love to see this venture thrive but food needs to be improved. There are so many good restaurants in Wexford that I'm afraid this standard of food just not making it. Aesthetically gorgeous place for a wedding I am aware this a new venture and maybe things will improve and I really hope this is the case.
I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a while, but I had heard mixed reviews. The entrance to the restaurant was unassuming and not very inviting. A group of six of us had dinner here and we were all pleased with the quality and presentation of the food. While the staff were friendly, they seemed untrained. We had to remind them multiple times about what we were still waiting for, dishes were not cleared when we finished, and there were no water glasses provided. They brought side orders without explaining that the salad and chips portions were individual, but the vegetables and potatoes were meant to be shared between two. When we asked for the missing portion, we were informed that it was to be shared. Unfortunately, the restaurant was empty and lacked atmosphere. One member of our group had trouble locking the bathroom door, as the sliding door was impossible to lock properly. Despite these issues, we would return for the good food.
I spent one night at this beautifully and painstakingly restored Irish mansion formerly of the Percy French family) is this really quiet part of Wexford -just 4 kilometers away from the town centre. As a couple we had booked the de luxe king room which cost us 140 euros for the night. Breakfast is an additional 15 euros per person. The Room on the first floor of the mansion was very beautiful with a four poster bed and came with TV as well as tea and coffee making facilities. There was no minbar or bottles of drinking water in the room upon arrival. We had made arrangements to meet a friend for dinner that night Monday) which was good as the restaurant is closed on a Monday. The. Irish owner of the property, Dennis personally made us breakfast the following morning and was accomodating with our specific dietary requests. We enjoyed the one night stay especially the fresh air, the view of horses frolicking in the grounds in the early morning time as well as the overall sense of elegant peace at the property. Cuchallan, a cocker spaniel who is the family pet added further character to the overall setting of the mansion and it's grounds.
Had a very pleasant one night stay in this small Hotel recently. It is set in its own grounds, is a quiet and peaceful setting. The room was very comfortable and spacious. We had only booked bed and breakfast, but decided to have dinner also. Served in the restaurant it was top quality and still quite reasonable, served efficiently with a smile. Breakfast next morning was table served, and although slightly limited fare, was also excellent quality. I would have no hesitation recommending this Hotel
