La Cote - Wexford

Ate here last Saturday night with two friends. We were in Wexford for one night only! I would have to say the food, ambience and staff in this restaurant are all excellent. We all had different fish dishes and we all thought our own dish was the best! The staff couldn't have been nicer or kinder and helpful. We had a great fun night in here with some excellent food and wine. Couldn't recommend this place highly enough.

This was our 2nd visit to the restaurant during our stay in Wexford. We were lucky to book a table the day before. It was Saturday and also Bank Hollidays. This time we ate a la carte and enjoyed the fresh ingredients . I haven't had scallops with corail for ages. The lemonsole was also fantastic and my husband even ate the aubergines in the mixed vegetables, which he always sorts out at home. Dessert and espresso and an excellent sauvignon blanc from New Zealand rounded things off. If we were to come to Wexford again we would definitely eat here again. On our first visit we had the 4 course menu which you can choose from 2 alternatives. We particularly liked the red pepper ketchup and the Puy lentils with the steak. Many thanks for the great service and the nice conversations.

We were welcomed and looked after wonderfully from the moment we arrived. The food was excellent, all the fish was cooked perfectly. The breads were delicious with tapenade and whipped butter, and we had a very wonderful meal. To cap it all, at the end, our wonderful waitress Caroline drove my son (who was struggling to walk having hurt his foot) back to our hotel as we could not get a taxi. If that does not justify a 5 star review, I don't know what does!

A beautiful little restaurant offering exceptional dishes. Really enjoyed our meal. Will definitely return when visiting Wexford.

We go here every year for our anniversary in July. Always fabulous service and fabulous food. Would highly recommend la cote.
