Archways Bed Breakfast - Wexford

This restaurant feels like a warm and welcoming home. The hosts are extremely caring and the award-winning breakfast and dinner are absolutely delicious.

I've used this B&B a number of times either straight off the Fishguard ferry or the night before going back and I think it's time I shared the secret. The Archways is a wonderful place to stay. Chris and Eileen are the friendliest of hosts and I always feel like I've known them for years as close friends of the family. The rooms are fabulously appointed and comfortable being modern and with every facility. The shower rooms are fitted out to the best hotel standard and sparkling clean. Chris is a trained chef and it shows. You will go to bed close to bursting after having enjoyed top notch restaurant quality food (I've had much worse Michelin starred food before! and then have to face the most glorious breakfast when you get up. At the prices you pay its just ridiculous the amount of value for money you get. An overnight stop, anywhere, just doesn't get any better than this.

My husband and I and my 2 kids stayed here for 1 night whilst on our way to Kilkenny from the ferry port. The accommodation was nice but rather small for a family. My kids did not like it as there where a lot of old people staying there that night and there was nothing within walking distance for them to do. The food was very arty and nice to look at but not great for hungry children. Overall it probably suits elderly travelers however I wouldn't recommend it to families.

We were pleasantly surprised when we inquired about dining in the evening and received a personalized, high-quality meal. The food far exceeded our expectations and outshined any other restaurants in the area.

We had the honour of staying at The Archways as a gift from a friend. It certainly had a home from home feeling for us, welcoming, warm, clean and an extremely comfortable mattress!! That evening we invited friends to dine with us at The Archways and were all treated to a 3 course meal with Prosecco and wine, the food was delicious full of flavours and different textures all sourced locally. Both owners Eileen and Chris take a great pride in hospitality and food, this is evident throughout with the many awards they have received. Highly recommend a stay here if only for a break, Thank you Chris and Eileen for being great hosts, we will look forward to staying in the future!!
