Creole Lunch Box - Westwego

Probably one of the best meals we've had on this trip and we've had a few. Friendly locals bar with the Lunchbox inside. If they have the crawfish bisque get it. Over rice with crawfish and stuffed crawfish heads. We also had the fried shrimp and two local iced coffees. Happened upon their Easter egg hunt and enjoyed some hunting with the other patrons. Perfect for a lunch after the swamp boat trip.

Excellent food and a friendly simple atmosphere. Delicious fried chicken drumettes, yummy burgers, red beans that were praised by our Louisiana natives. Great Hurricanes made from scratch at the Mona Lisa Bar. Creole Lunchbox is inside the Mona Lisa.

You looking for some legit local cuisine and excellent service and prices. You better get yourself here! Food is excellent! Best beans and rice I may have ever had! They went great with the swamp fries! Highly recommend ans don't forget to order the Hurricane that's made from scratch, no mix!!

The people! Chef Lonnie came out to take our order, he served us and made sure we loved the food as much as he loved making it. Two other very friendly folks got us beads, drinks, a bucket of ice for our water. They were all so nice! The food, I would go back for the red beans and rice with chicken wings. My combo of fish and shrimp was so good! The seafood was fresh, the breading and flavoring was perfect! The fries are perfect. The entrees come with salad. It's right across the dock for the swamp tours. They even gave us a bucket for our alcohol for the boat ride. Go for the food and company. It's divey but you can't beat the friendliness!
