I don't know if I've ever been to winery that had so many wine options. There is clearly something for everyone, in this lovely chateau tasting room. There are whites, reds, sparkling, dessert wines Sherry and Ports. Many of the wines are organically grown.A tasting is $20 which features six wines. Wines may also purchased by the glass. Some of the tastes and flavours, particularly in the category of the dessert wines, are flavors I have never experienced before. I am a big fan of the ports and his Cab Franc. These wines are produced in smaller quantities than large commercial vineyards and yet I still found the prices to be very reasonable considering the quality of the wine.Highly recommend and I will return for more.
Giessinger wine is really the best ever ! Wine tasting with Eduard is beyond a regular WT experience. We met Eduard at Taste of Conejo Chamber event and amazed with his natural french wine. I went to his winery to buy it for my birthday. Winery was full of people. Eduard gave attention to everyone talked about harvesting techniques etc. Then by appointment I came back with co-workers. Eduard impressed all of us. He is actually a doctor/ professor and musician, very knowledgeable and passionate about his wines. He said that he puts his name on each bottle and he cares about each bottle. He told us about every wine we have tasted there. Every wine has a story. Taste is amazing and unique! No sugar added! Normally wine gives me an allergy (even$300bottle wine lol) like i get itchy ears, stuffy nose, sleepy, headche. But this amazing wine did not get me non of those! No allergy from Giessinger wine! My fav is the Raspberry! Jolie, Forgiveness, Orange, Peti sirah, apple cider wines are amazing too!Experience amazing there! I look forward to bring my friends there too?
Only 1 mile walk from my friends new pomegranate villa on the hill.. what could could be better than a little goat yoga to start the day and a fresh glass of Chardonnay followed by an amazing bowel movement.. ahh glorious.
Make this a stop on your next wine tasting in the Conejo Valley. This has been my third visit to this location and never ceases to be enjoyable. Edouard, the owner does an exceptionable job presenting the wines, and providing a lively discussion on the history and science of the particular grape and how the blend came about. He is a scientist by training, and a professor at UCSB. However, wines are his passion!! Warm and cozy location. He can also host events from 20-170 people. Large outdoor patio area. No food service on premise, but you are welcome to bring your own food in, or order locally, which is what our party opted to do. We stayed for an extended period of time, enjoyed the delicious wines, along with stimulating conversation. Bring your friends and out-of-town guests to this quaint location. You will not be disappointed. Cheers!
