Eclectic selection for any health conscious foodie. There's many items and raw ingredients that I don't find stocked anywhere else in Columbus. I find myself coming here more than I need to just to support them. Raisin Rack is what Whole Foods originally pretended to be.
Racially profiled each time I shop here. It's disgusting because I've never felt so uncomfortable. The middle-aged Caucasian manager follows blacks, Somalian and people of color around the store but never other Caucasians. We come to shop there because we too can afford it and should not be followed or made to feel like thieves. I thought it was just me until I referred a friend of mine there to purchase some herbal supplements and she asked me if I too am followed. I never told her about my experience before her asking which goes to show its not just me. She said he watched her elderly mother so closely she said she wanted to leave and go elsewhere. I'll pay online prices and get my items shipped from now on. I've spent entirely too much money there to be treat this way. Just so you know, all people of color are not thieves. Many of us make more than he does and glady pay for everything we want and need. On a good note, the older cashier male with glasses is a true sweetheart, always smiling and very polite. His smile is contagious and I just love his energy. Makes cashing out after being followed around less painful.
They have a lot foods for healthy eating. Like everything else, they have a challenge to get everything they want to get. Staff was very friendly.
I rarely write reviews but, I was really disappointed in my experience at Raisin Rack. This was my first time ever being at Raisin Rack due to the fact I?m from New York. I have Celiac Disease and I?m a vegetarian. I?m used to Wegmans and other small natural food businesses in NY having everything that I need. Coming to Columbus for college has been a transition for me trying to find groceries and foods that I enjoy but that is also gluten free+plant based. I looked up gluten-free+plant based grocery stores and Raisin Rack came up. I was excited due to the reviews saying how they have the best gluten free section in the area and how amazing their store was. I went to the store to be immediately disappointed. The gluten free section didn?t have a lot of gluten free items that were plant based. I was also wanting to try the cafe since I saw so many amazing reviews on it but, i wasn?t even sure if it was open. Then, when I was cashing out, the staff at the register was not very kind. She asked if I had a rewards card through them, but I didn?t understand if it was something I would have to pay for to get discounts or if it was free and you just sign up. She told me nothing about the card and when I asked more questions about it and wanting to sign up, she seemed very annoyed and put out that she had to sign me up. I felt so out of place and very disappointed when I left. I ended up a couple of days later having to order groceries from Fresh Thyme Market. They are the only place that I can find both plant based and gluten free items. I wanted to love this store since it looked really promising but unfortunately, I had to go to a different store and will continue to go elsewhere in the future.
