The Smokehouse At Shawnee Lodge

Breakfast is the best option at this little restaurant. The biscuits are actually quite delicious. Ribs were way overcooked, parmesan chicken had a spoiled, curdled flavor, but people said the catfish was nice. Extremely subpar food overall. Service is generally good. Did not have mixed drinks so can't speak to that.

To begin, the soft pretzel was hard on the outside and doughy in the middle, and the cocktails werenot drinkable.The entrees were served before the salads. The noodles in the tortellini alfredo were rubbery and the breadsticks were hard. The side of baked beans were the best part of the sampler.The waitress was nice.

Service was good, the restaurant was kind of small crowded and smokey. The food was not bad.

Drove some distance with a friend to eat lunch and enjoy the scenery. The scenery and drive were great, the food and quality, not so much. Though the service was slow, we had a wonderful waitress but the quality of food was greatly lacking and disappointing.Our food was not hot, the pork chop had very little flavor/taste, the tea was very weak and tasted VERY watered down, my friends baked potato was old and had that mushy/yellow color and taste. The coffee and desert was good. Overall, considering the price, the quality was very disappointing. Doubtfull we'll return.

Holiday season is the best time to go! We were 2 couples, arrived late on a Friday night. Service was friendly, fast and professional to seat us, take our order and bring out: 4 different entrees, 3 different bar drinks, 3 desserts plus soft drinks and coffee. Extra kudos to the bartender. It will **** Mary, Salted Caramel White Russian and spiked Hot Chocolate were all excellent. My husband said the **** Mary was one of the best he ever had; his brother (known to be picky) tasted it and agreed! The food was great as well. I had the brisket sandwich, which was stacked with ample brisket and was top w/cheese, some French fried onions and 2 big slices of maple bacon. Brisket was very moist and tender. There were several desserts offered. My husband had turtle cheesecake and I had the carrot cake. Both wonderful. We'll be back the next time we visit the area. Our friends who live abt 15 min awat
