Welcome Break, Membury - West Berkshire

The service at this restaurant was terrible. The waitress seemed miserable and did not offer a warm welcome or a smile. It felt like she was on another planet. The prices were very high compared to the quality of the food. I had higher expectations, especially after having a bad experience at Costa.

Motorway service stations are known for placing disabled toilets at a distance from the entrance, but Membury took it to the next level. Upon entering from the main car park (where disabled spots were not clearly marked and full), we were informed that maintenance was ongoing and temporary toilets were located out back. Due to mobility issues, it took us five minutes to reach the temporary facilities, where there was a queue for the single disabled toilet. This was mainly due to able-bodied customers being directed to use it by staff. Unnecessary queues are not ideal for those who struggle to stand. It would have been more considerate to redirect disabled customers to the temporary facilities before they even left their vehicles. Treating disabled individuals as an inconvenience should be a thing of the past.

Went for a breakfast; Burger King closed. Rubbish cafe. Stinky toilets. Drippy staff. Don’t bother, it wasn’t worth the stop.

Super slow service at Starbucks and I mean ridiculously slow!! Clueless. Most Starbucks I visit and I visit a lot) at least acknowledge your presence… very disappointing.

Wish i could give no stars i would stopped on way home from Cardiff for a break was going to eat went into the toilets faeces on aeast 4 cubicles absolutely filthy locs on doors broken as we have a disabled person they went to use the disabled toilet lock hanging off and filthy WONT BE GOING BACK
