What a selection of great looking food that actually tastes so good! The gluten free pastry on the pies and sausage rolls was excellent as was the mediterranean tart
I recently visited Whole Green Bakery in Sydney CBD with my adult daughter who has Celiac disease, while my mother and I do not. The restaurant was very careful about preventing cross-contamination, and all allergens were well-managed. It was a fantastic experience for all of us. The food was delicious for both those with Celiac disease and those without. The coffee was good, and the variety of food options was impressive. We even took some food home with us. It was a delightful experience overall. Thank you.
I visited from Great Britain and this place is literally amazing! dessert is my favorite meal, but as coeliac I often only face ice or fruit salad. here I can eat delicious eclairs with large gluten-free baked pastries, brownies, lemon balms, muffins and many other sweet tasty. they also do cakes, rolls, sandwiches etc. the two young workers with whom I interacted were beautiful. beautiful atmosphere too. in love! the best of sydney for me:
The food is great for gluten-free standards. Very expensive but yummy. However the staff are so incredibly rude. The last 3 times I visited, the staff were openly and loudly arguing with a customer, zero respect, refusing to let the customer try explain what they...wanted. The manager was there too, part of it, so can’t even blame ‘the junior staff’. It was so embarrassing to watch and I felt terrible for the poor customers. I will only order t/a and get in and get out asap to avoid any and all interactions with staff.
I don't if gluten free has similar problems to vegan in trying to do certain pastries effectively but this $6(!? croissant is the worst I've ever had (even worse than Oh My Days' vegan one, despite actually having some butter in it . It wasn't a croissant,...it was a biscuit it felt so heavy when picked up because it was as heavy and hard as a biscuit. The funny thing is they now have an outlet in Alliance Francaise the Frenchies must be pretty embarrassed to be selling this crud.
