Johnny Fresco - Waterloo

Great tasting, quality food! Where else can you get such an amazing and large lamb burger. Tzatziki is exceptional imo.

My friend and I had two pita sandwiches and soft drinks for dinner on a Friday night. Our order was taken quickly and made right in front of us. There is a good variety of toppings to choose from. The pitas were delicious and exactly what we expected. There is not much seating available. They also offer beef and lamb burgers as well as a daily special after 4 pm, which is a better deal than their coupon deal for pitas. The restaurant can get very busy with lines stretching out the door. The place was clean and well-maintained.

What really bothered me was when the debit machine asked for a tip. I don't think it's appropriate for a fast food restaurant to expect tips. It makes me feel guilty for not tipping, even though I believe the owner should pay the staff a fair wage. Despite its shortcomings, the restaurant does have potential. If they improve the freshness of the vegetables, use juicier burger patties, and implement better quality control, they could regain their former glory.

While in Waterloo for the Ontario Volleyball Provincial Championships last weekend, my friends and I stumbled upon Johnny Frescoe's and decided to give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised by the variety of healthy and delicious options on the menu, which stood out compared to other fast food options nearby. The staff was accommodating and helped one of our group members who had a specific diet. We all enjoyed our meals - the chicken souvlaki pita, Greek salad, and crispy chicken pita were all full of flavor and satisfying. The sundried tomatoes, tzatziki sauce, and chipotle sauce were must-haves. Overall, we were very pleased with the quality and value of the food at Johnny Frescoe's.

We placed our order just in time since the restaurant filled up behind us! I guess everyone knows about the friendly, helpful service and good value in this restaurant. We ordered turkey burgers and loved the grilled squash option. The large burgers were juicy and very tasty. The restaurant also offers pitas, sandwiches, salads and many vegetarian choices. Everything looked clean and the restaurant was well lit. There are a few tables but much of the business was take out.
